FOOD GUIDE
These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Food amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. The amounts are recommended for an average dog with normal activity. Adjust feeding guidelines based on your dog's age, activity level, and environment.
Adult dogs should be fed once or twice a day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® Vegetarian Dry Formula for Dogs, we suggest you start with the amounts recommended in the table. The amount of food should always be adjusted according to your dog's needs.
WORKING DOGS
Depending on the work your dog will have to do, the nutritional needs will vary accordingly. As the workload increases, the demand for protein and fat increases proportionally. Dogs in heavy training will typically require twice the maintenance levels.
OLDER DOGS
As your dog ages, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will help maintain an appropriate body weight for a less active dog.
POWER MANAGEMENT
We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except on the advice of a veterinarian. When changing your dog's diet, the change should be made gradually by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® Vegetarian Dry Dog Formula.
Remember that fresh, clean water must be available at all times!
