Your chinchilla should be given a sand bath at least twice a week to keep its coat dry and healthy. A tub should have a base that allows full contact between your pet and the sand tub to ensure thorough cleaning.

Note
Once your pet has finished bathing (20 to 30 minutes should be enough), the sand should be removed from the tub so that it does not use it as litter.
Only use sand designed for chinchillas, so as not to damage their fur.
