This typical heat bulb emits infrared heat waves. It has a special built-in reflector to direct the heat in any desired direction. The red glass transmits the infrared waves produced by a special filament in the bulb.
The reddish light does not interrupt normal daytime or nighttime activities, making it an excellent 24-hour heat source.
